Update from your neighbor: Goodwill in Eagan is a disaster. Came home with bed bugs on… – Patch.com

I am writing to express my concern and see what other parents think of the new content currently displayed on the Eagan High School website here that presumably will be taught to our children: https://ehs.district196.org/community/anti-racism-efforts

Who has vetted this information and approved it for display and use with the students? On top of not being factual, and the attempt to redefine terms and history, the author, Ibram Kendi, formerly Ibram Rogers, has previously shared such ideas that white people were fending off racial extinction using psychological brainwashing and the AIDS virus. If a white author wrote black people were fending off racial extinction using psychological brainwashing and the AIDS virus. would Eagan High School publish their information and theories on their website? Teach their theories?

I implore you to read these articles and ponder the decision for EHS to be associated with this author and ideas. Anyone who has traveled the world knows that the United States of America is the freest, least racist country in the world. Is there room for improvement, of course, but improvement is not instantaneous, and everything is not either racist or anti-racist as the author implies. We all want communities and schools that are inclusive and safe for all, but this type of thinking and teaching is not the path to that future. It is a path to more racism and more division in the country.
