Resorts of Ontario Announces Program for 2012 Spring Conference & Trade Show

Ontarios premier association of resorts and inns, Resorts of Ontario, announces the program for the 2012 Spring Conference &Trade show to be held March 26th and 27th at the Casino Rama Hotel. This years conference will feature a variety of informative lectures, seminars and demonstrations by industry experts, as well as the Annual General Meeting, the Preferred Suppliers Trade Show, Presidents Evening Dinner and much more.

The conference begins on March 26 with Welcome to ResortNet, an informative session that introduces this new and innovative mentoring program that allows resort managers to connection for networking, mentoring and education. Next on the schedule is keynote speaker and author Sofie Andreou, with a session on how to effectively use social media. Later, a panel of resort owners will discuss Online Distribution Venues in Practice. This session explores the opportunities online booking presents for accommodation properties. In the afternoon, after lunch, the AGM and the Preferred Suppliers AGM, there will be a question and answer session with the panelist from the morning sessions and a discussion based on actual resort case examples relating to social media and online distribution venues. The Resorts of Ontario Trade Show begins at 2:00 pm and features a variety of booths showcasing the latest products and services for the hospitality industry. At the same time there will be a reception to allow operators and exhibitors to network, and later, the Grand prize of $1,000.00 will be awarded. That night, Resorts of Ontario hosts one of the highlights of the Spring Convention; the Presidents Dinner & Evening. High Rollers is this years the theme and attendees are invited to dress up in sequins and glitter to enjoy dinner, dancing, fun and entertainment.

After breakfast on the second day of the convention, the program continues with the seminar Do You Know How To Track Your Business? Marketing and SEO expert Mark Coles (http://www.first-page-seo.com) shows resort owners how they can track and measure stats to improve their businesss bottom line. Next on the agenda are the Progress Round Tables, where delegates rotate between tables of industry experts and professional who will provide valuable information on topics such as Risk Management, Bed Bugs and Hiring, to name just a few. At noon, the Spring Convention wraps up with a few closing remarks and an informal bear pit session called Coming Together On the Brighter Side offering delegates invaluable tips and ideas, and setting the stage for a growing resort network.
