HOUSTON Three Harris County residents allege that a condominium they rented in Houston was infested with bed bugs.

Sharon Piert, Derrick Cameron and Shar-Ronda Hollins filed a complaint on May 12 in the Harris County District Court against Catalyst Solutions LLC, doing business as Catalyst Property Solutions, and Hin M. Law alleging that they violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they rented the condo in April 2015 and started to notice bites in July 2015. They allege the reported the infestation again in August and December 2015 and March 2016.

The plaintiffs hold Catalyst Solutions LLC and Law responsible because the defendants allegedly fraudulently and intentionally failed to disclose that the property was previously and currently infested with bedbugs.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual, economic, exemplary and treble damages, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs and such other equitable relief. They are represented by Tad Rice of The Rice Firm in The Woodlands.
